Baby Steps
With small amounts of dialogue building up our scripts, it was time to see what our stories would look like on the big screen (well projector).
Monday gave us a taste of what working professionally in the industry was like, wherever it was taking specific roles, or directing you're cast and crew. before the day of filming, we were assigned to different job roles, such as actors runners, camera ops and boom ops. also rearranged were the orders that our groups would be filmed.
when it came to the actual shoot, we were only given 40 minutes per shoot so that every group were able to film each piece, meaning organisation skills were key. during the shoots i had many jobs, including camera op, boom op and an actor. when it came to my shoot, i was tasked with instructing my cast and my camera op to ensure my shoot went smoothly. after each cut, i infomed my runner on the time code of the shoot to determine which takes were the most effective when it came to editing.
In my own opinion, i felt that this task was a nice refresher on working on a film set once more, as it has been two years since my previous media course or working with cameras.
