patcha kutcha: what a wonderful phrase?
yesturday was quite an intersting day, as we had to show what our reports would be about through a new type of the presentation method known as a patcha kutcha, a presentation that is timed to a minute and also straight to the point as each slide should last up to 10 seconds each . because of the lack of time i have my present taition was mainly built up by images whilst haveing a script.
each presentation went by pretty quick meaning i had to be prepared to show my report idea, which was something i was quite interested in: originality in the film industry. mostly because every year i feel like less and less films are either sequels or reboots of past films or films based on books and other properties.
in my research for my presentation and report i discovered that the longest running film series includes James bond with 23 films, Godzilla with 30, and britains very own carry on film series with 31 films. on top of that only three films that were the highest grossing films of 2017 were not based on another film or book.
as i had said in my presentation, to gain my primary research i'm creating a survey asking what people think of remakes and reboots taking over most of the box offices. to get responses from a large number of people i am deciding to post this on a facebook community page to get the best results from a range of different members of my local community.
